Welcome to Hostproto! This guide will walk you through the essential first steps to get your hosting account up and running.

Step 1: Access Your Client Area

After placing your order, log in to your client area to manage your services:

  • View your hosting package
  • Access login details
  • Manage billing and domains

Step 2: Log in to cPanel

Once your hosting account is active, you can access cPanel to manage your website.

You can log in via:

  • Your client area (recommended)
  • Direct URL (provided in your welcome email)

Inside cPanel, you can:

  • Upload website files
  • Create email accounts
  • Manage databases
  • Install applications

Step 3: Point Your Domain

To connect your domain to your hosting account, update your domain’s nameservers.

Use the nameservers provided in your welcome email.
DNS changes may take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate.

Step 4: Upload Your Website

You can upload your website files using:

  • File Manager (inside cPanel)
  • FTP access

Make sure your files are placed inside the public_html directory.

Step 5: Install Applications (Optional)

You can quickly install popular apps like WordPress using the one-click installer in cPanel.

This is the fastest way to get a website live without manual setup.

Step 6: Enable SSL (Automatic)

All hosting accounts include free SSL certificates.

SSL is automatically applied to:

  • Your domain
  • All subdomains

This ensures your website is secure and uses HTTPS.
