Domain Registration Agreement
This Domain Registration Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of domain name registration, transfer, renewal, DNS, privacy, and related services ("Services") provided by Hostproto.
By using Hostproto’s domain services, you agree to comply with this Agreement, our Acceptable Use Policy, Privacy Policy, and all applicable third-party policies including those of registrars, registries, and governing authorities such as ICANN.
Registrar & Service Structure
Hostproto provides domain services as a reseller and service provider. Hostproto is not necessarily the registrar of record for your domain name.
Domain registrations and related services may be fulfilled through one or more ICANN-accredited registrar partners, upstream providers, or registry operators. The registrar of record may differ depending on the domain and service used.
By using these services, you agree to be bound by the terms, policies, and requirements of the applicable registrar of record, registry operator, ICANN consensus policies, and any registry-specific rules associated with your domain.
Domain Ownership & Responsibility
Domain registrations are provided as a service and do not constitute ownership of property. Your rights to a domain name are subject to compliance with this Agreement and all applicable third-party policies.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your domain name registration and its use do not infringe on the rights of any third party, including trademarks, copyrights, or other legal rights.
Account & WHOIS Information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current contact information for all domain registrations, including registrant, administrative, technical, and billing details.
You acknowledge that domain registration data may be shared with registrars, registries, ICANN, and other required parties, and may be publicly accessible via WHOIS or similar systems where required.
Failure to maintain accurate information may result in suspension, cancellation, or loss of your domain.
Third-Party Registrations
If you register or manage a domain on behalf of another person or entity, you confirm that you are authorized to act on their behalf and have obtained all necessary consent for the use and disclosure of their information.
Domain Lifecycle & Renewal
Domain registrations are issued for fixed terms and must be renewed prior to expiration. You are responsible for maintaining awareness of your domain’s expiration date.
While renewal reminders may be sent, Hostproto does not guarantee delivery of such notifications. Failure to renew a domain may result in expiration, suspension, or deletion.
Reinstatement of expired domains may be subject to additional fees imposed by registries or upstream providers.
Transfers
Domain transfers are subject to ICANN policies and registrar requirements. Domains may not be transferred within the first 60 days of registration or recent transfer.
You are responsible for ensuring that transfer requests are completed before expiration. Hostproto is not responsible for failed transfers due to timing, incorrect information, or registrar restrictions.
Suspension, Cancellation & Registry Rights
Hostproto, the registrar of record, or the applicable registry may suspend, cancel, transfer, or modify a domain registration at any time in accordance with applicable policies, legal requirements, or abuse prevention measures.
This includes, but is not limited to, actions required for compliance with ICANN policies, court orders, dispute resolution procedures (such as UDRP), fraud prevention, or violation of applicable terms.
Prohibited Use
Domains may not be used for unlawful purposes, including but not limited to fraud, phishing, spam, malware distribution, or infringement of intellectual property rights.
Hostproto reserves the right to suspend or terminate domain-related services if such activities are detected.
Fees & Payments
All domain-related fees, including registration, renewal, transfer, and reinstatement fees, must be paid in advance.
Domain services are non-refundable once processed, including registrations, transfers, and renewals.
Pricing may change at any time and will apply at the time of renewal or new service purchase.
Limitation of Liability
Hostproto shall not be liable for any loss of domain, revenue, data, or business arising from domain registration, expiration, transfer failure, suspension, or third-party actions.
All domain services are provided “as is” and are dependent on third-party providers beyond Hostproto’s direct control. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
